Shelter Volunteer General Shelter Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks to help us care for the animals as well as clean and organize the shelter. At the discretion of staff that day, examples of commons tasks include: helping to clean dog kennels and/or the cats areas, sweeping and mopping floors, dishes, and laundry. All ages welcomed, however, ages 14 and under are required to have a parent or guardian present. Dog Date Our Date with a Dog program permits approved volunteers to pick up a dog and take them out-and-about for a few hours. You can go for a walk, grab a pup cup, or go shopping at dog friendly stores! Pick ups start as early as 10am and pets must be back to the shelter before 4pm. (Pets are not allowed to do meet and greets with other dogs. Ages 18+ only) Animal Care Volunteer Help us groom the dogs and cats by brushing, nail trimming and the occasional bath! All ages welcomed, however, ages 14 and under are required to have a parent or guardian present. Animal Training Volunteer Help us teach our dogs to walk on a leash, sit, stay, come, and other tricks. Help us socialize the dogs and cats alike! We ask that volunteers have some type of experience in this category. Board of Directors Interested in joining our board of directors?
